A few months ago, I received a letter from People to People Program for about the fifth time and I am convinced I cannot go once again because of the cost of the trip. I am hoping that I can find some financial aid to help me finance this trip and that I could finally go. I am a good student. I have mainly all A's and all classes that can possibly be honors, I am in. I also am a swimmer for my high school. I am an independent and mature person. I was raised by two immigrant parents and have learned from my Polish culture as well as how to achieve the best and most importantly work hard in life. I am a 9th-grade high school student actively involved in my community helping to clean churches and schools. I am a honor roll student and worked hard in school and it has paid off. Hello my name is Julianna. I was recently accepted into the People to People Student Ambassadors Program. My itinerary is European Heritage where we get to experience to culture of Eastern Europe while representing American Society. The trip is on the expesive side so I am here to ask for any sponsors or donations. Any amount is helpful. Also any ideas of fundraisers and if any connections would be greatly appreciated.

MY name is Elisabeth and I'm currently a junior in high school and it has always been my dream to travel around the world. I thought i would never get a chance to do that until I got older but recently i been invited and accepted by PEOPLE to PEOPLE student ambassador program. And will be traveling to France, Italy, and , Greece this summer, but inorder to do that I have to come up with amount of over $7,000. I've already raised the $400 application fee but still have to get $1000 by March 1st. I was wondering if anyone knew about any good sponsers of grants or will be apple to donate any amount of money

My name' s Ivonne and I am a sixteen year old girl; I am a vegetarian and a straight A student. That is until recently. I was accepted into the People to People Ambassaror Program and to pay the monthly payments I got a job at KFC (although I am still vegetarian) and for the first time ever I got a D (in Trigonometry no less!) and a C in AP English. My strongest subjects in school are English and Math, and I am so mad at myself. I got a job to pay for the trip, the job interfered with my performance at school, all that's left is for me to not earn the full-tuition scholarship. Then I would have to work more hours and I would get worse grades.  I want to believe that I'll earn the scholarship but I'm not sure how the selection process works and if it is even need-based. I hope it is and I hope that I get the scholarship. But in case I don't, I'm looking around for sponsors. The bad part is that any money that I get from people is not tax-deductible so I'm not very lucky in my search. There's not much to say about my family's situation except that my mom indulged on her children (not herself) when she was young, and she didn't know how to manage her credit cards; because of that, my mom works 10 hour shifts just about everyday, so we don't see her often, and my sister has been working since she was 16 1/2 to pay off my mom's debt. My sister's in college now and she is still working to pay off that debt, although with the P2P program I think this will be harder. That really sucks because I've been wanting to go to Japan for a long time, since I was in 6th grade, and now that I have the chance to go I might not be able to. I would try fundraising except that my job gets in the way, and it also limits my time on searching for sponsors. If anyone can help me, either by sponsoring me or pointing me in a good direction, I greatly appreciate it. I was thinking of doing some sort of presentation of my trip to the people who  can help me; maybe I could write something or do a powerpoint with pictures that I take. But that's all useless if I dont' go to Japan. Again, I would appreciate any help I can get, and thank you for taking the time to read this.

!A Brief Message from Debbie Hodgdon to Everyone!

Hello, I’m Debbie Hodgdon and I was nominated to participate in the People to People Student Ambassador program. It’s all about building high school teens into global citizens. It promotes peace and understanding people from different cultures. The goal is to increase younger generations’ global awareness so that eventually war would cease due to participants experiencing and learning first-hand from a global perspective.

            I have been given the opportunity to travel to Japan in the Summer of 2009 as a student ambassador and I more than gladly took the offer, but I desperately need your help. My mother and I are in a poor financial position and I’m looking for sponsors, money donations, or the purchase of Tahitian Noni Juice or Avon products. The tuition for my trip is $6,499. I must send in $400 of that amount along with my application form by the end of this year in order to reserve my spot on the trip. I was told spots fill up quickly so I feel more under pressure.

            Without you, this opportunity would not be possible for me. This letter is me forcing myself to step out of my comfort zone and create possibilities for myself. I am asking you and many other people for any amount of money, even checks or pocket change. Any profit made from the bold letters above would go towards my funding for this trip and it would be very greatly appreciated.

            I want to let you know that I’m not just asking for money, I’m going to get a weekend job to earn it as well.
